After September 11, 2001, Napa locals arranged for steel pieces from the destroyed World Trade Center towers to be trucked across the country to downtown Napa. They were erected as a special 9/11 Memorial monument on Main Street. The site was artfully designed by Napa's own Gordon Huether, a world-renowned sculptor and designer of public spaces. Each year, on the anniversary of this tragedy, remembrance ceremonies take place on the plaza around this moving site where rusted pieces of the Trade Center buildings are on display. #911 #worldtradecenter #september11 #gordonhuether
